Biographical Information

Katsumi Kaneko was drafted by the Tokyo Orions in the 8th round of the 1967 NPB draft, but he refused to sign and went to college. The Chunichi Dragons picked him in the 4th round of the 1971 NPB draft, and he went 1-for-10 in 1972. He had a 5-for-25 record in 1973, but he only got 4 more at-bats for the top team before he announced his retirement in 1977.
