Biographical Information

Kanato Shimizu has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Shimizu was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the fourth round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Kenichi Takayama. He hit .184/.259/.265 in 28 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, and he struggled again as his batting line was .130/.235/.217 in 2024. Shimizu made his NPB debut on September 21 against the Yokohama BayStars, and he was 2-for-13 for the big club in 2025; he hit .189/.273/.220 in the minors.
