Biographical Information[edit]
Kakeru Yamanobe has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Yamanobe was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 3rd round of the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Toshiya Adachi. He was 1-for-14 with the big club in 2019, and he hit .271/.347/.465 in the minors while leading the Eastern League with 29 steals. Yamanobe then recorded a .233/.266/.283 batting line in 53 games in 2020, and he slumped to .194/.211/.278 in 2021. He struggled again as his batting line was .152/.200/.242, then he went 8-for-39 in 2023. He and Aito Takeda both hit a grand slam against the Nippon Ham Fighters on June 21, and it was the first time in the history of Seibu's minor league team that two hitters hit a grand slam in the same inning. He played 50 games with a .213/.259/.275 batting line in 2024, and he went 0-for-3 before the Lions traded him to the Yakult Swallows for cash.
