Biographical Information

Justin Walker pitched in the Cincinnati Reds system from 2008 to 2010. He was taken in the 41st round of the 2008 amateur draft and peaked at High A. He was signed by scouts Jerry Flowers and Mark Snipp. Though he was 8-17 with a 5.25 ERA in 44 games (30 starts) overall, he had good control, allowing just 31 walks in 188 2/3 innings. He also surrendered 225 hits, of which 31 were homers, en route to a 1.357 WHIP. He had 167 Ks.
