Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Justin Devoid played college ball at Colby-Sawyer College from 2014-2017 and graduated with a degree in Athletic Training and he worked in that field after graduation. In 2019, Devoid took a job as the varsity head coach at Springfield High School. During that season of working with the Cosmos, Devoid discovered a passion for coaching.[1] He was scheduled to return to Springfield in 2020 before the Cosmos' season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Devoid returned to school at St. Lawrence University and worked as a graduate assistant coach for the Saints in 2021-2022. During the summers, he was the manager of the Upper Valley Nighthawks in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Devoid then moved to Cornell University as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2023-2024 seasons.

The Cleveland Guardians hired Devoid as hitting coach for the DSL Guardians Mendoza in 2025. He the became a manager with the DSL Guardians Goryl in 2026.
