Biographical Information[edit]

Junji Hayashi was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 3rd round of the 1995 NPB draft, and he had a 10.13 ERA in 17 games in 1996. He didn't reach the big club in 1997, and he announced his retirement. He later played for Showa Concrete in the industrial league after the Japanese Amateur Baseball Association lifted the ban on former pro players, and he was the first former NPB player to play in the industrial league since Fukuzo Yanagawa in the 1960s. Gamagori High School named him their coach in 2015.
