Biographical Information[edit]
Jun Hasegawa played for the Ishikawa Million Stars from 2014 to 2015, and he was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 8th round of the development phase in the 2015 NPB draft. He was 7-5 with a 2.77 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2016 (walking only 20 in 113 2/3 IP), but he allowed 6 runs in 6 1/3 innings for the top team. He tied Masaru Nakamura for 6th in the Eastern League in wins and was second in ERA (.62 behind Yuki Egarashi). Hasegawa went 3-2 with a 5.35 ERA in the minors in 2017, and he announced his retirement. He was an assistant coach for Kanazawa Gakuin University from 2020 to 2021.
