Biographical Information[edit]

Julien Fountain was on the British team in the 1988 European Junior Championship. [1] He had a 7.50 ERA for the British national team in the 1989 European Championship and saved their 8-7 win over Germany. [2] He was 0-2 with a 8.22 ERA in the 1991 European Championship, pitching twice against Sweden and once against Belgium. His 7 K were second on the team behind Brian Thurston. [3] He had one more appearance for them, throwing 1 1/3 shutout innings in an exhibition series in Sweden in 2002. [4] He then became a cricket coach, the first baseball coach to serve as the head coach of an ICC full-member team. [5] He coached national teams from Pakistan, the West Indies, Bangladesh (in the 2011 Cricket World Cup), Ireland and South Korea (in the 2014 Asian Games). He also coached cricket teams in England, Bangladesh and the Caribbean. [6]
