Biographical Information

Pitcher Julian Williams played in independent baseball from 2006 to 2008.

He started as an outfielder, hitting .254/.329/.349 with no home runs, 8 RBI, 6 doubles and 16 hits in 25 games for the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings in 2006. He also made 3 appearances on the mound, going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 6 1/3 innings. In 2007, he transitioned to the mound fulltime, going 6-5 with a 3.73 ERA in 20 games (12 starts) for Rio Grande. He split 2008 between three teams and three leagues, playing for the Laredo Broncos (United League), Corpus Christi Beach Dawgs (Continental Baseball League) and Grand Prairie AirHogs (American Association). Between them, he went 0-4 with a 15.21 ERA in 16 games (3 starts), allowing 49 earned runs, 59 hits, 19 walks and 12 homers in 29 innings.
