Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jordan Parraz was drafted out of high school by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2003 Amateur Draft but chose not to sign, instead choosing to attend the College of Southern Nevada. The next year, he was selected by the Houston Astros. He played 11 seasons in the minor leagues from 2004 to 2014 with a number of different major league organizations and played winter ball in the Venezuelan League with the Cardenales de Lara during the 2012-13 offseason. He spent five years in AAA, getting over 1,200 plate appearances at that level, without making it to The Show.

After his baseball career ended he went back to college and studied to become a math teacher. By 2017, he became a teacher in Nevada then moved to Massachusetts in 2022.
