Biographical Information[edit]
John Semerad was a 7th-round pick of the Atlanta Braves in the 1975 amateur draft (one pick before Mike Fischlin), though BR Draft has his last name spelled wrong. He was also named the Staten Island basketball player of the year in '75. Going on to Seton Hall, he played for Team USA in the 1979 Pan American Games and was All-Big East Conference. He never played pro ball.
