John Drew Betz
John Betz was a part-owner of the Philadelphia Phillies, buying his share of the team in 1981. His wife, Claire Betz, inherited his share upon his passing. He made his fortune as a top executive at Betz Laboratories, a chemical treatment company founded by his father.
