Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Sadelfeld represented the USA in the 1967 Pan American Games, winning a Gold Medal. [1] He beat Team Canada's Bob Hunter and Ross Stone [2] and led the Games in ERA (0.75) and strikeouts (23). [3] He was drafted by the San Francisco Giantsin the 36th round of the 1969 Amateur Draft, and he was 1-4 with a 3.85 ERA for the Great Falls Giants in 1969. That was his only season as a professional player.
