Biographical Information

Joe Sadelfeld represented the USA in the 1967 Pan American Games, winning a Gold Medal. He beat Team Canada's Bob Hunter and Ross Stone and led the Games in ERA (0.75) and strikeouts (23). He was drafted by the San Francisco Giantsin the 36th round of the 1969 Amateur Draft, and he was 1-4 with a 3.85 ERA for the Great Falls Giants in 1969. That was his only season as a professional player.
