Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Fitzgerald caught in the minors from 1919 to 1927, six of those years in the Blue Ridge League.
Fitzgerald was the Washington Senators bullpen catcher from 1932 until 1947, spending at least 1943 with the Camp Wheeler Spokes. He was a Senators coach from 1948 to 1956, and a scout for the Senators and Minnesota Twins from 1957 until his death ten years later.
