Biographical Information[edit]
Jimmy Holligan was a semipro and minor league pitcher in the 1880s and 1890s. Born in Massachusetts, he pitched several years in Maine, including multiple stints with Sanford beginning in 1887, when he was a battery-mate of future major leaguer Dan Burke[1], and Lewiston in 1890 and 1891, playing in the New England League in the latter year. In 1890 he also spent time with two teams in the Rhode Island state league[2]. He died of diabetes in 1905.
