Jim Thompson has been a scout for the New York Mets, signing Matt Bowman and Adam Kolarek.

Prior to his scouting career, he was manager of the New Jersey Pilots of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League. He has also worked at Diamond Baseball Academy in Pennsylvania.
