Biographical Information[edit]

Jim Reynolds has been a major league umpire since 1999 when he worked his first games in the American League.

Reynolds started in the New York-Penn League in 1992, then moved up to the 1993 South Atlantic League, 1994 California League, 1995 Eastern League, 1996 Southern League, 1997 American Association and 1998 International League. When Richie Phillips led the mass umpire resignation in 1999, Reynolds moved up to the majors on a permanent basis, having made his debut as a fill-in umpire in June of that year. In 2000 he was added to the consolidated major league umpiring staff.

He worked the 2004 All-Star Game and 2018 All-Star Game, the 2010 ALCS, the 2014 World Series and the 2015 National League Wild Card Game.
