Biographical Information[edit]
Jie Zhou played for the Tianjin Lions in the China Baseball League. He represented China in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, going 1-0 with a 4.00 ERA, beating South Africa. He tied for 5th in the tourney with four games pitched. [1] He was on China's roster of the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. In his lone outing, he relieved Wei Zhao in the 6th inning against pool champion Colombia. He gave up a double to Reynaldo Rodríguez, walked Fabián Pertuz and retired Carlos Martinez to end this inning. Zhou then forced Dilson Herrera to ground out, and he allowed another double to Brayan Buelvas. walked Jesús Marriaga, retired Francisco Acuña and walked Michael Arroyo. Buelvas then scored due to Zhou's wild pitch, and he finally made Harold Ramírez hit a fly ball to end his work; Huadancairang relieved him. He[2]
