Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Jerry Chavarria played college baseball at the schools noted above and graduated in 2017 from Mansfield with a degree in Business Administration and Management. After graduating, he joined the Southern Illinois Miners of the independent Frontier League as a bullpen catcher. Chavarria then played professionally for the Monterey Amberjacks (2019) and Billings Mustangs (2021).
Beginning in 2023, Chavarria moved toward a coaching career. He was a Video Development Associate with the Los Angeles Dodgers affiliates in the Dominican Summer League (DSL). Chavarria moved to the Baltimore Orioles organization in 2024 as a Minor League Affiliate Technology Coordinator working with the Orioles' DSL squads.[1] He was a fundamentals coach for DSL Orioles Black in 2025 and DSL Orioles Orange in 2026.
