Biographical Information[edit]

Jeremy Horst made his major league debut with the Cincinnati Reds in 2011 in fine fashion, posting a 2.93 ERA in 12 games. He was shuffled a number of times between Cincinnati and AAA. He also pitched in the minors from 2007-2010, mostly as a reliever.

Few major leaguers have been born in Wyoming. When Jeremy Horst made his debut in 2011, he was only the thirteenth from Wyoming. He is also the only major leaguer (through 2011) with the last name Horst, although there was once an Oscar Horstmann. Horst and Adam Bernero are, through 2011, the only major leaguers out of Armstrong Atlantic State University.

On January 25, 2012, the Reds traded Horst to the Philadelphia Phillies in return for infielder Wilson Valdez.
