Jeremiah Reardon played two games in the majors in 1886, one in the National League and one in the American Association. He was 17 at the time.
There seems to have been some uncertainty regarding this player's identity for years. For years certain details of his life were confused with those of another ballplayer named Jimmy Reardon. For example, the picture usually linked to Jeremiah's name is actually one of Jimmy.
Jeremiah was born and died in St. Louis, MO and was said to have had uncontrollable behavior that got him in trouble with the law several times. He also had a career as a politician as a member of the Democratic Party.
