Biographical Information

Pitcher Jayden Murray was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays out of Dixie State University, which was renamed Utah Tech University shortly thereafter, in the 23rd round of the 2019 amateur draft. On August 1, 2022, he was traded to the Houston Astros in a three-team deal that also involved the Baltimore Orioles, with OF Trey Mancini going from Baltimore to Houston, and OF José Siri going from Houston to Tampa Bay, among other players moving around.

He made his major league debut with Houston on September 4, 2025, pitching the last 1 1/3 inning of an 8-4 loss to the New York Yankees. He retired all four batters he faced.
