Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Jason Halper hit .063/.111/.063 with no home runs and 3 RBI in 11 games (16 at-bats) for the Oneonta Yankees in 1997.
He was originally taken by the New York Yankees in the 54th round of the 1996 amateur draft, a few picks ahead of pitcher Jason Jennings, but opted not to sign. The Yankees took him again in the 45th round of the 1997 amateur draft, one pick after pitcher Shane Youman. He signed that time.
