Biographical Information

Catcher Jacob Sharp began his professional career in 2023 after being taken by the Seattle Mariners in the 17th round of the 2023 amateur draft. With the ACL Mariners in 2023, he hit .143/.250/.143 with no home runs and 4 RBI in 11 games. He began 2024 in the Mariners system, hitting .255/.339/.435 with 6 home runs and 29 RBI in 44 games for the Modesto Nuts. On July 26, he was traded with outfielder Jonatan Clase to the Toronto Blue Jays for pitcher Yimi Garcia. He finished the season with the Vancouver Canadians, hitting .226/.316/.381 with 3 home runs and 9 RBI in 25 games there. He hit .245/.331/.416 with 9 home runs and 38 RBI in 69 games overall. In 2025, he hit .161/.271/.206 with 1 home run and 10 RBI in 68 games for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
