Biographical Information[edit]
Iwao Yoshimura signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 1949, and he was 2-for-24 in his first season. He joined the Kintetsu Pearls when the JPBL split into two leagues, and he hit .177/.236/.273 with 4 homers in 1950. Yoshimura hit .177/.236/.273 for his new team, and he had a .183/.227/.239 batting line in 1951. He went to the Daiei Stars in 1952, and he recorded a .161/.257/.210 batting line in 45 games. Yoshimura played 94 games with a .118/.207/.135 batting line in 1953, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yoshimura hit .153/.228/.208 with 83 hits in 4 seasons in NPB.
