Biographical Information[edit]
Nigerian-Japanese Itua Ikhine has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Ikhine was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the first round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Shogo Yamamoto. He fractured his left thumb and missed the entire 2023 season, and he hit .177/.292/.283 in 82 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2024. Ikhine made his NPB debut on May 30, 2025 against the Rakuten Golden Eagles.
