Indianapolis Rainmakers
League: Western League (1892)
Ballpark: Market-Oriental Park
The Indianapolis Rainmakers were part of the failed attempt to revive the Western League in 1892. Managed by William Harrington and Bill Sharsig, the Indianapolis, IN-based team went 15-39 before the league folded on July 15, having the worst winning percentage in the circuit. When the league reformed for the 1894 season, Indianapolis rejoined the league, but this time as the Indianapolis Hoosiers.
