Biographical Information

Hisanori Nishitani represented Japan in the 2004 World University Baseball Championship. He was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 4th round the 2004 NPB draft, and he hit .357/.379/.429 in 10 games in 2006. However, he missed most of the next two seasons due to a right elbow injury, and he went 2-for-22 in 2009. The Golden Eagles then released him, and he signed with the Hanshin Tigers. Nishitani failed to return to the top team in 2010, then he announced his retirement. He later became a teacher at Rissho University.
