Biographical Information

Hiroshige Kuroki signed with the Taiyo Whales in 1956, and he hit .139/.205/.139 in 39 plate appearances in 36 games in his first season. He was 2-for-22 in 1957, and he was 2-for-12 in 1958. Kuroki struggled again as his batting line was .192/.203/.205 in 76 plate appearances in 53 games in 1959 (backing up Yukio Shimada at 1B), and he had a 4-for-20 record in 1960 then he announced his retirement. His brother is former NPB outfielder Motoyasu Kuroki.
