Biographical Information

Hiroshi Ishii was 19-27 with a 2.49 ERA and a Best Nine award in the Tohto University Base Ball League. He was drafted by the Hankyu Braves in the first round of the 1985 NPB draft after they lost the rights to Akimitsu Itoh, and he went 1-2 with a 6.04 ERA in 1986. He was 1-1 with a 7.15 ERA in 1987, and the Braves released him in 1988. The Hanshin Tigers picked him up, but he didn't reach the top team in 1989 and he announced his retirement.
