Biographical Information

Hiroki Kondo was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the fourth round of the development phase in the 2014 NPB draft, and he spent his first two seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He hit .186/.255/.372 in 49 plate appearances over 21 games as a backup outfielder in 2016, and he was 6-for-29 in 2017. Kondo was 0-for-4 in 2018, and he hit .215/.267/.336 with 3 homers in the minors in 2019. He didn't reach the big club that season, and he announced his retirement. His father Shinichi Kondo pitched in NPB.
