Hiroaki Saiuchi pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Saiuchi represented Japan in the 2011 BFA U-18 Asian Championship. He was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 2nd round of the 2011 NPB draft, and he only pitched one games in his first season. His ERA was 5.63 in 5 games in 2013, then he recorded a 6.75 ERA in 13 games in 2014. Saiuchi improved to a 2.62 ERA in 29 appearances in 2015, and he had a 3.00 ERA in 9 games in 2016. He also represented Japan in the 2016 U-23 Baseball World Cup. Saiuchi spent his next three seasons in the minors due to shoulder injury, and he was released in 2019. He pitched for the Wei Chuan Dragons in the Asia Winter Baseball League, and he stayed with the Kagawa Olive Guyners in 2020. The Yakult Swallows then signed him in September, and he went 1-2 with a 4.28 ERA in 2020. He didn't pitch any games with the big club in 2021, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Saiuchi was 3-6 with a 4.18 ERA, struck out 76 and pitched 114 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
