Biographical Information

Hikaru Ohtani has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Ohtani pitched for the Toyama GRN Thunderbirds in 2023, and he was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 2nd round of the 2023 NPB draft; the scout was Daishi Nagamori. He pitched one shutout inning for the big club in 2024, and he allowed 3 runs in 2 2/3 innings for the Sydney Blue Sox in the 2024-2025 ABL. Ohtani then underwent Tommy John surgery, and he missed the entire 2025 season.
