Biographical Information[edit]
Hideyuki Kobayashi signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 1959, and he only played 2 games before he jumped to the Daimai Orions in 1960. He went 1-for-4 in 1961, and he hit .255/.306/.398 in 175 plate appearances over 109 games in 1962; he was their 4th outfielder and pinch-hit often. Kobayashi slumped to .195/.267/.268 in 34 games in 1963, and he was 2-for-12 in 1964 then he announced his retirement.
