Biographical Information

Hideyuki Akita was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 5th round of the 1977 NPB draft, and he went 2-for-16 in 1980. He had a 3-for-20 record in 1981, and he announced his retirement in 1982. Akita later coached Chuo University from 2012 to 2016.
