Hesston College opened in 1909 and has offered college level courses since 1915. Hesston has historically been a junior college and compted in the NJCAA and Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference through the 2025 season. The school will join the NAIA for the 2026 season joining the Continental Athletic Conference.
