Chase Glaum

Biographical Information[edit]

Chase Glaum played center field at Cabrillo College in 2007 and hit .412 while earning all-conference honors. After a medical redshirt year, Glaum transferred to Southern Nazarene University and played for the Crimson Storm from 2009-2011. He finished with a career .362 batting average and was the program's all-time leader in stolen bases when he graduated with a degree in Speech Communication. Glaum later earned a master's in Exercise Science from the California University of Pennsylvania.

Since graduating from college, Glaum has held a variety of jobs, not all of them related to baseball. He started as an assistant coach at Cabrillo College in 2012-2013. He then established his own business, Iron Mill Performance, which he ran for several years. He returned to college coaching in 2015 when he served as a volunteer assistant coach at Southern Nazarene University. The Crimson Storm promoted him to a full-time assistant coaching position for the 2017-2018 seasons. Glaum next joined the Hesston College Larks as an associate head coach which lasted until COVID-19 shut down the 2020 season. He also taught several classes at Hesston during his tenure there. Glaum left the college scene for the next two years and worked at Driveline Baseball. He started as a Hitting Intern and progressed to serving as a Driveline Academy Assistant Coordinator. Glaum left Driveline in late 2021 and worked in private business for the next year and a half.[1]

In 2023, the Detroit Tigers hired Glaum as a hitting coach for the FCL Tigers. He remained in that position through 2025. In the last season, he also may have worked as the Tigers' Hitting Performance Coordinator which became his sole role in 2026.
