Biographical Information[edit]
Harvey Lee is a former outfielder who played in the New York Yankees farm system from 1985 through 1987. He attended Southern University, then began his professional career with Oneonta in 1985 and later played for Fort Lauderdale and San Jose.[1][2]
Lee later moved into coaching and was hired as Coppin State's head coach in October 2006 after Guy Robertson resigned. By the time he took over, only three returning players remained from the previous roster, and he had to assemble a team on short notice for the 2007 season.[3]
His two seasons at Coppin State were among the most difficult in Division I baseball. The Eagles went 0-44 in 2007 with an 0-18 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, then finished 4-52 in 2008 and again went 0-18 in conference play. Lee's final record at Coppin State was 4-96.[4][5][6]
