Biographical Information

Haruto Yamada has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Yamada got 11 wins and struck out 108 combined in the Koshien Tournaments, and he ranked 5th in wins (tied with Yosuke Shimabukuro and Daisuke Matsuzaka) and 4th in strikeouts in Koshien history. He also represented Japan in the 2022 U-18 Baseball World Cup, going 1-1 with a 7.50 ERA for the Bronze Medalists. He beat Panama's Carlos Diaz but lost to South Korea's Young-cheol Yoon. Yamada was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 4th round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Mitsutaka Goto. His ERA was 5.87 in 3 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, and he went 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA there in 2024. Yamada debuted against the Rakuten Golden Eagles on April 3, 2025, and he pitched a shutout inning.
