Biographical Information[edit]
Haruhisa Ando played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Ando signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1959, and he was 8-10 with a 3.23 ERA in his first season. He went 7-13 with a 3.45 ERA in 1960, and he tied Yoshiji Yamamoto for 6th in losses in the Pacific League. Ando then had a 6-7 record with a 2.81 ERA in 1961, and he went 7-11 with a 3.94 ERA in 1962. Ando was 7-10 with a 4.70 ERA in 1963, then his ERA was 3.52 in 31 appearances in 1964. He announced his retirement after that season.
Overall, Ando was 39-54 with a 3.55 ERA, struck out 456 and pitched 834 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
