Biographical Information[edit]
Han-byul Kim has played in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Kim was a seventh-round pick of the NC Dinos in the 2020 KBO draft. [1] He enlisted into the military, so he missed most of his first two seasons. Kim was 2-for-21 in 2022, and he represented South Korea in the 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He was only 2 for 23 with two walks and two RBI in the event, but drove in the winner against Puerto Rico and was named the Outstanding Defensive Player (though he fielded .875). He led the event in assists (23, 4 more than anyone else) and tied for 2nd with four errors. South Korea finished second to Japan. [2] He then hit .216/.262/.237 in 79 games in 2023, and he improved to .318/.400/.341 in 40 games in 2024 before he missed the season due to a fractured finger. Kim was the backup shortstop behind Ju-won Kim in 2025, and he recorded a .313/.371/.344 batting line in 76 games.
