Biographical Information

Greg Appleton has won over 900 games as a college coach.

Appleton played for the University of Georgia while an undergrad then was assistant coach there from 1985-1992, winning the 1990 College World Series. He was head coach of Young Harris College from 1994-1997, restarting a defunct program and going 127-74. He then moved to Columbus State University as head coach in 1998. He was 821-433 entering 2021, leading his team to the 2002 Division II College World Series title, 2004 Division II College World Series, runner-up in the 2007 Division II College World Series (when they set a school record for wins at 51-19) and runner-up in the 2018 Division II College World Series. He set the school record for career wins as well.
