Gerry Hunsicker

Gerry Hunsicker was the New York Mets farm director in 1989-1990. He was then the Mets' Assistant GM from 1991 to 1995.[1]

Hunsicker was General Manager of the Houston Astros from November 1995 to 2004, when he was replaced by Tim Purpura. Hunsicker was the longest-serving GM in Astros history. He spent 2005 as an advisor for the Astros.

After the 2005 season, Hunsicker was named senior vice president of baseball operations for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, a position he still holds in 2011.

Prior to his time with the Mets, Hunsicker was an assistant coach for Florida International University, then moved into pro baseball with the Astros in 1978.
