Biographical Information[edit]
George O'Hearn was a third baseman who played professionally for the Winnipeg Maroons of the Northern League in 1904.[4][5]
A native of Pittsfield, MA, O'Hearn attended Pittsfield High School, where he played on the school's 1898 football team.[2] He later studied at University of Massachusetts Amherst, then known as Massachusetts Agricultural College.[1]
After his playing career, O'Hearn went into coaching. He coached football at Woodberry Forest School in Virginia before moving to College of William & Mary, where he began coaching football in 1906.[2] He was also William and Mary's baseball coach in 1909 and 1910.[1] O'Hearn died in Pittsfield, MA on February 2, 1967.[2]
