Biographical Information[edit]
George Mitchell is the Director of the front office of the Boston Red Sox. On December 13, 2007, he released a report (The Mitchell Report) naming 89 past or present Major League Baseball players as using steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs. The report was the result of research requested by Commissioner Bud Selig.
From 1980 to 1995, Mitchell was a Democratic Senator from Maine. He was Senate majority leader from 1991-1995.
