Biographical Information[edit]

Fynn Himmelsbach was the youngest player on the Swiss national team in the 2025 European Championship, three months younger than Aaron Sutter. He made one appearance, starting versus France in the 11th/12th place game. He began by retiring former indy leaguer Félix Brown then walked minor leaguer Ernesto Martínez Jr. before getting former minor leaguer José Paula swinging and Daniel Patrice to end the inning. In the 2nd, he whiffed Julien Monks, allowed a Paolo Brossier single then got Fabian Kovacs and Dorian Bouniol. The 3rd wasn't quite as smooth - Léo Jiminian singled and took second on an error, Brown grounded out, Martínez was intentionally walked while a wild pitch sent Jiminian to third, Paula hit into a run-scoring force, Patrice walked, Monks was plunked to load them up and Brossier grounded out. Takanobu Oshima took over and was the beneficiary of a Swiss rally as they won the game, their highest finish to that point in a European Championship. [1]
