Biographical Information

Fumiya Motomae was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the first round of the development phase in the 2019 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first season. He was 1-2 with a 4.78 ERA in 2021, then he went 3-2 with a 4.66 ERA in 2022. Motomae only got one appearance for the big club in 2023, and he tied Haruto Inoue for the lead in strikeouts of the Eastern League. He fractured his left wrist and missed the entire 2024 season.
