Biographical Information[edit]

Fumiya Araki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years

Araki represented Japan in the 2010 World University Baseball Championship. He was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 5th round the 2010 NPB draft, but he spent his first four seasons primarily in the NPB Farm Leagues; he only got 14-at-bats combined with the big club. Araki hit .200/.282/.200 in 29 games in 2015, and he had a .246/.348/.281 batting line in 46 games (57 at-bats) in 2016. However, he slumped to .118/.211/.118 in 2017, and he only got 20 more at-bats for the top team before he announced his retirement in 2020.

Overall, Araki hit .182/.259/.203 with 26 hits in 7 seasons in NPB.
