Biographical Information[edit]
Frederick Rick played in the minor leagues and in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Rick was 5-7 with a 5.04 ERA for the Tri-City Braves in 1957, and he went 17-7 with a 3.27 ERA for the San Jose Pirates/Las Vegas Wranglers in 1958. He had a 1-2 record for the Lancaster Red Roses in 1959, and he also pitched one game for the Asheville Tourists in the same season. Rick returned to Tri-City in 1960, and he was 20-8 with a 3.66 ERA. He pitched 43 games with a 4.19 ERA and a 13-16 record in 1961, and he signed with another Braves - the Hankyu Braves of Japan. Rick was 3-5 with a 3.63 ERA in 1962, but he only pitched 7 games with a 3.86 ERA in 1963 and he announced his retirement.
