Biographical Information[edit]
Forrest Telfer Plass was a second baseman and outfielder whose professional career lasted from 1900 to 1914. He played for the Hamilton Hams, Battle Creek Cero Frutos, Natchez Indians, Vicksburg Hill Billies, South Bend Greens, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Egyptians, Nashville Volunteers, Dubuque Dubs, Jacksonville Braves, Winnipeg Maroons, Freeport Pretzels, and Dubuque Hustlers.
Plass spent much of his career in the Cotton States League and the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League. He also managed in the minor leagues, beginning with Battle Creek in 1902. He later managed clubs in Dubuque in 1909 and 1914, Freeport in 1910, and Meridian in 1911.
Plass coached baseball at Mississippi State University in 1907 and 1908[1][2] He died in Dubuque, IA in 1953 and was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Key West, IA.
